Kitchen Concerts LIVE SHOWS across Scotland this September and October 2024!

Fiona’s Kitchen Concerts, which started during lockdown, are usually virtual and have attracted a huge following. Thousands of people from all over the world tune in every week to enjoy her performances with great musician friends. The ‘live‘ version will see Fiona joined on stage by the superbly talented pianist Neil Birse and wonderful Inverbervie based musician and producer, Nils Elders.

Fiona said: “As much as I love doing my virtual Kitchen Concerts it’ll be very special to sing with Neil and Nils in front of an audience  we can actually see and engage with. It’ll be an evening of lovely songs, music and close harmonies with a bit of banter thrown in!”

Fiona’s Kitchen Concert tour will be stopping off at various locations across Scotland throughout September and October, including the Tivoli Theatre Aberdeen, Earlsferry in Fife, Braemar, Inverness and Edinburgh.

Originally, Fiona and Nils were due to be joined by by award winning singer and songwriter, Calum MacColl (son of Peggy Seeger and Ewan MacColl) who has unfortunately broken his leg and is unable to travel for at least six weeks. The team have decided to postpone their Peterhead Theatre show on the 27th September and our Keith Longmore Community Hall show on the 28th September, until he is well enough to join them once again.

A message from Calum:

“Life is a funny thing. Then, just when you don’t expect it, it becomes unfunny. I’ve managed to snap my left kneecap in half. I’d like to say I did it while scaling a particularly challenging rock face, but I was just putting the bins out. I’m now in a leg brace waiting to find out whether I’ll need pins or not. I can’t travel, and performing would be more of a comedy act (than usual). I’d normally use ruder words, but I’m so very teed off and very sorry to miss the upcoming shows and seeing you all. I was so looking forward to them, but I’d love to see you next year (if you’ll have me!)”

I’m sure everyone will join us in sending Calum good healing vibes and Nils and Fiona are looking forward to getting together with him soon and playing their new songs for you all! We’re delighted that the fabulous Neil Birse has juggled his extremely busy diary and he will be joining Nils and Fiona for all other upcoming shows which will go ahead as planned.
