As very proud parents Francis and I are so delighted that Sophie has been nominated for a BAFTA Scotland award for playing the young Philomena in the film with Judi Dench. The BAFTA committee decide on this and she is absolutely thrilled to be in the running. The ceremony takes place on November 16th.
Sophie has also been nominated for a Glenfiddoch Spirit of Scotland Award for which, when she first found out about it, thought they’d been keeping tabs on her whisky consumption! Although as parents we’re rather relieved to say that it’s actually for screen acting!
